Acer Aspire One D250 Netbook

Mark: Good

Works great with eComStation 2.0 RC6a

  • Atheros 168 0001C WLAN device using modified drivers provided by Ed Durrant recently on Hobbes.
  • Had to wipe XP Home partition to install ECS by external CDROM.
  • Shutdown and reboot work with latest ACPI316.
  • Can't get 1024x600 resolution yet on Panorama with INTLBIOS driver - runs at 800 x 600 okay.
  • Working on getting HDA audio to work.

Was not able to get 1024x600 with Snap and Panorama.

Did not try yet to get Attansic (1969:1026) LAN to work.

eComStation 2.0 GA works very well spend on my acer aspire one d250 netbook. suspend and resume also works now for first time - am using /smp /apic settings with 2 cores active - that is screen comes back after resume but wlan does not reactivate.

I had trouble booting from external cdrom. I had to ctrl alt del after preboot menu and after each reboot during install had to unplug external cdrom and plug back in after boot.

sound works better with new uniaud driver.

wlan works - but had to use drivers in the eeepc package ed durrant made available on hobbes. it is an atheros 168 0001c

good work mensys
