Epson Stylus SX230

Mark: Good

Works very well with eCUPS003 and TAME103. Also - as a side note - a very nice surprise that the small display menu supports lots of languages, not only English. What is not (and probably never will be) supported is the scanning into picture/PDF/email initiated by printer. For this a special task-listener software is required, exists only for Win*. The only possibility to scan is to initiate it not from device to PC, but from PC via a scanning software (TAME&SANE) to device.

For printing: eCUPS003 do not provide a native SX230 driver, please use Stylus SX100 - this one works perfectly.

For scanning: Works with the standard eCS2.1 provided TAME&SANE. Just manually modify file TAME\\conf\\epson.conf where it is necessary to add the line: usb 0x4b8 0x881 Then the best fit with a scanner in TAME is Epson CX6600.

It seems that the scanning granularity cannot be set very nicely, what has been tested and is working is Binary, Color and Gray scanning with quality of 75, 300 and 600 DPI.
