IBM Thinkpad R31
Mark: Average My R31 mostly works, but it has some quirks. (Using RC1 at the moment.) I've
never gotten PCMCIA working, for instance, and the (win)modem is of course a
lost cause. APM.SYS causes the system to go into suspend every five seconds
(although on a previous install I once found a version and/or combination that
avoided this). ACPI (v2.22) loads successfully with no parameters, but
attempting to suspend causes the Intel NIC to trap.
Finally, the video isn't supported by the normal SNAP drivers - I have a test
driver that Scitech gave me which more or less works, but it means I have to
use the exact version of SNAP (build 427) that it was built for.

Comments: Davorin 2007-09-26 01:30:43 | APM.sys causes turn off on my Thinkpad R52, and eCS 20RC2 only when SMP kernel is installed. |
eCo Software was participating in the development of drivers:
- ACPI - OS kernel, resources management, power management
- Panorama VESA - universal video driver
- JFS - boot feature implemented
- Uniaud - initial support of HDAudio
- USB - restore of source code
