Mark: Very good

There are, I believe, several different configuration options for the M50. Mine has a 3GHz P4, 512MB memory, 40GB IDE hard disk, 8 USB ports, one serial and one parallel port. Display adapter is Intel 82865G graphic controller. Ethernet adapter (1000 Mbps) is Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop Connection. Audio is Soundmax digital integrated audio.

I bought it mainly for the processor speed and memory, and a previous good review on this site.

With eCS 1.2 everything except the audio worked out of the box. I can live without the audio, or maybe add a PCI audio card taken from an older computer.

IBM M50 thinkcentere MT-M8189-UNU update:christmas 2011 available refurb off lease for $99 american. less monitor +2 gig RAM & AGP nvida Gforce 5200 : loads Out the Box , except for sound , addition of a soundfusion pci card of uncertain vintage.. & full apparent function "an easy load" of eComstation 2.0
