The attack on the World Trade Center has, understandably, caused many people to re-evaluate their travel plans. The Warpstock Board of Directors and the Event Team would like to reassure everyone that Warpstock 2001 has not been cancelled.
Warpstock is proud of the OS/2 Community and that less than a handful of
people have told us that they have changed their plans to travel to
Toronto. The Warpstock planners encourage all OS/2 users to follow through
on their travel plans this October. Thanks to new security procedures,
airline travel has never been safer.
The 5th annual Warpstock conference will be held October 6-8, 2001, in
Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is produced by Warpstock, Inc., a North
Carolina non-profit corporation. The Warpstock annual conference is a
gathering of OS/2 users, developers, and vendors from around the world for
the purpose of education and advocacy. More information is available at
the Warpstock 2001 website, http://www.warpstock.org or its mirror site:

SCOUG's Sept 15th Meeting Is Cancelled.
Because of the recent events in New York and elsewhere, and
resulting difficulties in trying to pull together the pieces
for a first class Saturday SCOUG Anniversary meeting, the
Board (at my request) has decided to cancel Saturday's meeting.
We'll reschedule the anniversary party to our October SCOUG
regular meeting. The multible installations of OS/2 will also
be rescheduled, perhaps to November as we already have another
topic set for October.
We will do our best to notify all members, and would appreciate
the help of everyone in letting their SCOUG friends know about
the cancellation -- receiving more than one notice is a lot better
then driving to Orange for naught.
Thanks for your understanding, and see you in October.

the planning of client demonstrations, training, and customer technical
support agreements. They are the distributors of eComStation for Canada

The Warpstock Committee is pleased to announce that OS/2 NetLabs will be exhibiting at Warpstock 2001. Be sure to visit their booth when you attend Warpstock this year.
OS/2 Netlabs was founded in 1997 with the goal of creating a center for
free Open Source Software for OS/2. Today, OS/2 Netlabs is one of the
largest developers of OS/2 software outside of IBM itself. With its many
ground-breaking projects, OS/2 Netlabs has won a name for itself in the
great OS/2 Community.
OS/2 Netlabs is responsible for such amazing (and free) OS/2 software like
Odin (lets you run 32-bit Windows application on OS/2), X-Workplace (a
super enhancement to the WPS), and WarpIN (the new standard in OS/2
installers).
For more information on OS/2 NetLabs and their products, please visit
